Explore the Bluegrass Region on 2 Wheels

I’m the proud owner of a 1972 Honda CB750K2 and love exploring the winding roads of the Bluegrass region. Below, you’ll find some of my favorite routes—each offering a mix of scenery, curves, and Kentucky charm. Feel free to check them out, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you’d like to join me for a ride.

South Fayette Lollipop

13.9mi. – 23mins.

One of my favorite rides, thanks to its quick access from the city and short duration. It’s perfect for a spontaneous afternoon ride when you only have a little time to spare. Along the way, you’ll enjoy scenic tree tunnels and beautiful horse farms.

Ferry to Winchester

38.9mi. – 1Hr.

A beautiful scenic route that follows the Kentucky River and sections of the historic Boonesborough Trace. Be sure to stop at the Waterfront Grill for a bite or a drink, and watch out for the washed-out stretch on Four Mile Road. It’s passable on two wheels, but cars won’t make it through.

Ferry to Castle & Key

56.6mi. – 1hr 34min.

Enjoy this ride as it winds through the Palisades and past Bluegrass horse farms, ending at the scenic Castle & Key Distillery—perfect for exploring the gardens and relaxing with a drink.

The Bluegrass & Foothills Loop

112mi. – 3hrs 15min.

Start with a scenic ride through the Bluegrass region toward Winchester, then head south into the foothills of the Cumberland Mountains. Pause midway in Irvine for a visit to the local distillery or grab a meal at the Wigwam Diner for an authentic eastern Kentucky experience. Finish the route by winding back through the rolling Bluegrass hills and crossing the Kentucky River via the historic Valley View Ferry.
